Dayne graduated from the University of Tasmania with honours in law. After joining Dobson, Mitchell & Allport as an apprentice-at-law, he was admitted as a barrister and solicitor in August 1999. He has been a non-director principal since 2009.  

Dayne’s general areas of practice are commercial law, estate planning, and assisting with Australian visa applications (Migration Agents’ Registration Number 0426606). Dayne spent three years outside the firm working in Scotland, England and Australia advising British clients on their migration options.   In assisting commercial and private clients, Dayne is skilled in:  

• Contract drafting and negotiation 
• Protecting client’s interests during their lives and beyond, through estate planning, advising on and drafting wills, powers of attorney and guardianship instruments 
• Leasing (including general commercial and retail leasing) 
• GST advice 
• Trusts 

This experience adds value to Dayne’s service for his migration clients. Dayne can assist with the range of:  

• Skilled and business migration visas 
• Permanent and Temporary visas sponsored by an employer or the State government 
• Visas to help those overseas join a partner in Australia
