James graduated from the University of Tasmania in 2005 with a combined science/law degree and was admitted to practice in 2006.  He has practiced almost exclusively in the commercial law area at Dobson Mitchell & Allport since admission.  His day-to-day work involves advising clients and preparing documents in relation to corporate, property and general business matters, including:

• business restructures;
• residential sales and subdivisions;
• incorporation advice;
• commercial and residential leases;
• business sale contracts;
• shareholder agreements;
• corporate compliance;
• licence agreements;
• service contracts; and
• wills and powers of attorney.
