Raymond graduated from the University of Tasmania in 2000 with a combined commerce and law degree, with honours in law. He was admitted to practice in 2001 and worked at another Hobart law firm for six years. He joined Dobson, Mitchell & Allport in 2007.

Raymond practises in most areas of civil litigation, focusing upon the areas of personal injuries and workers compensation.
