Susan Larsen-Scott - principal

Susan was admitted as a solicitor in NSW in December 1982.  While working full time as a solicitor in Sydney, Susan lectured part-time at the University of Technology and undertook her Masters Degree in Law which was awarded in 1992.

Susan moved to Hobart in late 1997 and lectured at the University of Tasmania’s Law School in Intellectual Property, Information Technology, Media Law and Commercial Law. She joined Dobson, Mitchell & Allport in July 2000 and became a non-director principal in 2005.

Susan works in our commercial area and specialises in intellectual property, media law, information technology, trade practices law, freedom of information and privacy law. This includes advising:

  • on all aspects of intellectual property law including e-commerce, franchising, trade marks, promotional activities, licensing and assignment of intellectual property, confidentiality agreements, research and development agreements and information technology including software agreements;
  • on trade practices law;
  • on, negotiating and drafting commercial agreements; and
  • on administrative law including Freedom of Information and Privacy Law.
